Shawn is an advisor, board member and investor with several cutting-edge companies. From Jan 2008 to June 2013 Shawn was Sr. VP - Director of Business Development for Seven Seas Water Corporation. From Jan 2003 through May 2007 Shawn was Sr. VP of Marketing & Sales for Energy Recovery Incorporated. Shawn enjoyed a 12 year career at Ionics Incorporated from 1990 to 2002. From 1998 to 2002 Shawn as General Sales Manager, from 1994 to 1998 as Manager of International Operations and from 1990 to 1994 when he enjoyed positions as Product Manager, Process Design, Development Engineer and in R&D. Shawn has served on the board of directors of the CARIBDA since 2009 and IDA since 2011. He is currently President of CaribDA. He founded the CaribDA Humanitarian Committee and Young Leaders Program and has chaired, served on panels, as well as written and presented numerous papers in industry conferences including: WIM, SATIS, IRENA, WME, OzWater, GCWDA, EDS, ALADR, CWWA, CBWMP, ACWA, AEDyR and has published in leading industry publications. Shawn has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University.

Mrs. Karlene Singh joined Consolidated Water Co. Ltd.'s engineering team in August 2006, serving as the Company's Operations/Project Engineer. She currently fills a dual-role as the Business Development - Project Engineer for the Engineering and Business Development Departments. Her responsibilities include supporting the design and construction of new Seawater Reverse Osmosis plants, expansions and upgrades of the Company's existing operations, and all aspects of sales and marketing activities. Karlene has a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Applied Science, both in Chemical Engineering, from Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada. Consolidated Water Co. Ltd. is a complete turnkey design, build, own/finance, and operate desalination company headquartered on Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, where Karlene has resided for the last twelve years.

Monica Boodhan is a Senior Instructor (Physics) at the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) and a PhD candidate at the University of the West Indies (UWI). With nine years of experience in Desalination and ten in Renewable Energy, her specialization is Solar Distillation. Monica received her MPhil and BSc in Physics from the UWI. As project manager for the EU-funded DIREKT project, she served as a trainer in Solar Energy at various workshops across the Caribbean and Bangladesh. Monica completed numerous training courses in the fields of Renewable Energy, Desalination, Water Treatment, GIS, Smart Grids and other courses related to Research, Teaching and Data Modelling. Monica is currently a Director of the CaribDA; co-chair of the Young Leaders Programme (YLP) and a member of the Publications and Humanitarian Committees. Additionally, she is the Regional Representative for Latin America and the Caribbean for the International Desalination Associations YLP.

Mr. Mario Bento has over 30 years experience in water and wastewater treatment in North America and the Caribbean. He is currently the managing director of Caribbean Water Treatment Ltd. based in Antigua. The company specializes in water and wastewater treatment services, serving commercial, industrial and utility customers in Antigua and the Eastern Caribbean. Mr. Bento holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Masters in Environmental Systems Engineering from McMaster University in Canada. Prior to returning to Antigua, Mr. Bento worked for four years as a process development engineer for Zenon Environmental Inc. in Canada, a worldwide leader in the development and manufacture of membrane based systems for water and wastewater treatment.

Jerry holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA, and has lived in Puerto Rico for over 20 years. His personal experience and expertise include start up and development of several successful Caribbean and US water treatment businesses, and numerous applications at municipal, power, hotel-resort, food, beverage, textile, pharmaceutical, and other industries. Mario has over 20 years of experience installing, operating and managing water treatment and power plants in the Caribbean. As the former General Manager for Ionics Aqua Design, he managed over 50 plants desalination plants on 35 islands. He has comprehensive, hands-on experience on a variety of water and wastewater plant facilities in the Caribbean, Bahamas and Bermuda. In his present capacity as the SVP of Global Business Development for Seven Seas Water, he works in variety of different desalination markets throughout the world. Although he lived from 1987 to 2003 in the British Virgin Islands, he currently resides in Tampa, Florida, the corporate headquarters of Seven Seas Water Corporation. Mario holds a degree in diesel technology from Wyoming Technical Institute.

Before founding Swell Marketing Services, Lauren was the Director of Marketing for the largest private water supplier in the region that is now publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange. She has established strong relationships throughout the islands and have developed an understanding and respect for the culture which allows me to work effectively in the region. As a resident of the USVI, Lauren witnessed the devastation left behind by the 2017 Hurricane Season, and also witnessed Government, Utility and regional development agencies clamoring to pull together the resources to build back infrastructure across a wide geography. Mario A Trevino is the Regional Sales Manager for Avista Technologies Inc supporting customers in Latin America and the Caribbean. He has been involved in the reverse osmosis and high purity water treatment industry since 1984 and has developed an expertise in RO and UF system design, plant operation, hands-on system troubleshooting and plant maintenance. Mario has conducted formal training sessions on water treatment system operation and maintenance at both domestic and international high purity water symposiums, conferences, and one-on-one with system end-users. At Avista, he works to promote the companys specialty chemicals and support services developed specifically to prevent, reduce, and treat fouling that occurs within RO, MF, UF, and nanofiltration membrane systems.

John Thompson is a qualified engineer from the U.K. He has made the Caribbean his home for the last 20 years having previously been intermittently in the region since 1986. He holds chartered engineer status in the United Kingdom and fellow status with the U.K. based Institution of Mechanical Engineers and U.K. based Energy Institute. He is also a registered engineer in Europe and Trinidad & Tobago with over thirty years experience of contracts in the process industry including water treatment. His technical skills are supplemented by a postgraduate degree in Business Management from Cranfield University, which was gained through the grant of an engineering fellowship by the Engineering Industry Training Board in the UK. John joined the Desalination Company of Trinidad & Tobago Limited (Desalcott) after nearly twenty years with George Wimpey and successor companies (the latest being Carillion) where as Projects Director he ran their process, energy and industrial sector work in the Caribbean. This included involvement in the water sector through the Severn Trent/Carillion joint venture agreement for the interim operation of the Water and Sewerage Authority in Trinidad & Tobago also through process plant feedwater treatment by ion exchange and reverse osmosis. He previously worked for UK engineering company, John Brown Engineers and Constructors Ltd, having started his career, initially as an undergraduate apprentice, with Rolls-Royce. Following being Project Director for Desalcott during construction of the Point Lisas Desalination Plant, John was confirmed as General Manager in 2002 and continues in this position to date with the Plant currently undergoing a major expansion.
