Nominating/Elections:
The Nominating and Elections Committee shall solicit suggestions for candidates from the membership. The committee shall propose a slate including at least one name of an active member who is qualified for each office known to be vacant. The Nominating and Elections Committee shall conduct the election and close the polls, tally the votes, and announce the results of the election at an appropriate function of the Corporation, or if the election has been conducted by electronic or mail ballot, by publication of the certified results in the CaribDA Newsletter.

Finance:
The Finance Committee prepares and suggests for adoption by the Board of Directors plans for financing the activities of the Corporation and an annual budget to govern the operations of the Corporation. Modification of dues rates, alterations of financing plans, and budget amendments are reviewed by the Finance Committee, which submits them with accompanying recommendations to the Board of Directors for action. The Treasurer of the Corporation serves as Chair of the Finance Committee.

Humanitarian:
The Humanitarian Committee is responsible for creating and conducting programs and events focused on areas of concern to the CaribDA Membership and promotes humanitarian interest in the region specific to desalination, water reuse and other related endeavors of interest to the Association. The committee may cooperate with non-government organizations (NGO’s), governments, local charities, businesses and other organizations in its efforts. The committee endeavors to gain broad participation of members of the Association and any affiliated organizations in humanitarian activities.

IDA Liaison:
The International Liaison Committee is primarily responsible for ensuring close cooperation between the Corporation and the International Desalination Association (the “IDA”) to accomplish the mutual purposes of these organizations. The International Liaison Committee has the initial responsibility for formalizing the agreement of affiliation and after its approval by the Boards of the Corporation and IDA, for supervising operations there under and recommending to the Board action needed to alter or improve the joint relations. The International Liaison Committee also recommends programs to be instituted by the Board of Directors to assess, evaluate, and advise the Corporation concerning the state of the art and advances made in desalination and other water sciences being accomplished at the international level. The Chair of the Committee represents the Corporation on the Board of Directors of the International Desalination Association.

Membership:
The Membership Committee seeks and reviews applications for membership in the three classes of membership of the Corporation, and makes membership recommendations to the Board of Directors. The Membership Committee seeks to obtain the widest possible participation in the Corporation among qualified applicants.

Program:
The Program Committee shall arrange for the general meetings as required of the Corporation, and the committee shall be responsible for the preparation of the programs. The Committee shall keep in mind the public interest in the objectives of the Corporation and the technical interests of the active members in the formulation of the programs. The Committee will collaborate with local officials as well as the International Liaison Committee in the coordination of general and international meetings and in presentation of reviews of ongoing activities of the Corporation.

Publications & Communication (Includes Newsletter and Website):
The Publications & Communications Committee develops and produces publications, documents and other related literature that support the public and member outreach goals of the Corporation. The Committee coordinates with the newsletter editor the focus and content of the newsletter; coordinates with the Membership Committee the development and production of information provided in the prospective and new member packets; coordinates and assist in the development and production of articles and papers for outside journals and publications; researches the need and feasibility of publishing other industry guides.

Technology Transfer:
The Technology Transfer Committee is responsible for generating and conducting programs of technology transfer designed to increase the knowledge of and interest in desalination, water reclamation and other fields of interest to the Corporation. The committee may cooperate and collaborate with other corporations and organizations in its programs. The Committee endeavors to gain broad participation of members of the Corporation and any affiliated corporations in technology transfer activities.

Young Leaders Program:
The Young Leaders Program Committee is responsible for creating and fostering a program that increases participation in CaribDA and create opportunities for students and young professionals in desalination and water reuse, operating in and around the greater Caribbean region, to connect, find career opportunities, advance their careers and promote interest in desalination and water reuse in the region. The committee endeavors to promote involvement with younger professionals in member organizations, universities and technical schools as well as interaction with young leaders in organizations with similar goals as CaribDA.
